The NUHA manual · school admins
Your school, live in an afternoon.
You're the founding administrator — the person who sets NUHA up so everyone else just uses it. Ten steps, in the order that works. Steps 1–8 are on the Free plan, forever.

Register your school (2 minutes)
Go to nuhaos.com/get-started. Name your school and pick a school code — the short word everyone will type to sign in (it also becomes your public admissions link). Tap "Email me a code", type the 6-digit code from your inbox, set your password, and register.
Tip — Choose a code your teachers can say out loud — rosewood, not rwis-2026-branch2. It's permanent once you're activated.
School name
School code
Email + 6-digit code
Get activated — a human reviews every school
Every new school is reviewed by a person at NUHA — usually the same day. You'll get an email the moment you're live. Adding your phone number, website or UDISE code at registration speeds this up, because it gives the reviewer something to verify.
Tip — Nothing to do while you wait — the activation email has your sign-in button.
First sign-in & your branding
Sign in at nuhaos.com/login with your school code, email and password. First stop: Branding (left sidebar). Upload your crest and set your color — from that moment, every screen your teachers and parents see, including their sign-in page, wears your school's identity, not ours.
Create your classes & subjects
Open Classes and add each class-section (6-A, 6-B, 10-Science…), then your subjects. Two minutes of structure that everything else — attendance, homework, exams — hangs off.
Tip — If you're importing a roster CSV next, classes in the file are created automatically — you can skip ahead.
Import your students — one CSV
Students → Import. One spreadsheet with student name, class, section and a parent phone/email per row. Run the dry run first — it checks every row and tells you what's wrong without touching anything. Then import for real: NUHA creates the students, the classes, the parent accounts and their temporary passwords in one pass.
Tip — Free plan includes unlimited students — import the whole school, not a sample.
Invite your teachers
Staff → Add teacher — name, email, a starting password. Assign them to their classes and subjects. Teachers sign in with the same school code; they're forced to set their own password on first login. Point them at the teacher guide — it's a 7-minute read that replaces the training session.
Hand parents their logins
The roster import already made every parent an account with a temporary password. Send those home in the diary, or print the parent guide (it's built to print onto one sheet) and distribute it at the gate. Parents change their password on first sign-in.
Share your public admissions link
Your school has a public admissions page at nuhaos.com/apply/your-code from day one. Put it on your board outside, your WhatsApp status, your prospectus. Applications land in Admissions, where you track, convert and enrol each one — enrolment creates the student and parent login automatically.
Run exams & publish report cards
✦ Pro Exams: create the exam (Unit Test, Term…), teachers enter marks once, and NUHA generates ranked report cards with an AI-drafted remark for each child that the teacher edits and approves. Hit Publish and every parent sees their child's card in their app — no printing, no envelopes, no lost report cards.
Tip — On the Free plan you'll see this section locked with a preview — one click on Request upgrade and we'll call you the same day.
Get help & grow your plan
Anything broken, confusing or missing: Support (left sidebar) → raise a ticket. It emails a human at NUHA instantly and we usually reply the same day. Your plan and usage live under Branding → Your plan.
The other guides
Stuck on something this guide doesn't cover? School admins can raise a ticket from Support inside NUHA — a human replies, usually the same day.
